HEY, I'M SCOTT!
From a young age, my passion for music ignited when my mom enrolled me in guitar lessons at the tender age of 5. As a pre-teen, my ears were captivated by my older brother's record collection, which introduced me to a range of influential artists.
My journey as a private music teacher began in 1989, shortly after completing my studies at the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) in Hollywood. Since then, I have dedicated myself to sharing the gift of music with my students. In 2000, I furthered my education by obtaining a Composition and Arranging degree from Belmont University. Alongside my teaching career, I have toured the United States with numerous acts and had the privilege of performing in Japan.
After teaching and guiding hundreds of students on their musical journeys, I have developed this course to help aspiring guitarists become proficient in their craft. The skills you will acquire through this course will enable you to grasp the intricacies of great guitar soloing—understanding the how, the when, and the why.
